The blog

Quirky Jenn was founded in February 2016 on this site but the price was too high for the amount of posts I published. I wasn't dedicated enough to blogging to be paying for a hosting and domain site. So this site was created so I can not worry about bills and create better quality and more frequent posts. This is a typical lifestyle blog that may have some creative and fashion aspect to it. The blog is going to be more of a personal lifestyle blog where I can look back and smile at my experiences and fashion changes. These experiences I want to share with the world as well and hope to inspire others to live their life the way they wish to.

Behind Quirky Jenn

If you haven't figured it out already, my name is Jenn and I am currently working on getting my bachelors in Advertising. I consider myself an otaku (or used to), food, and animal lover. Some of you maybe wondering, what is an otaku? Well according to Urban Dictionary it means...
"Otaku is extremely negative in meaning as it is used to refer to someone who stays at home all the time and doesn't have a life (no social life, no love life, etc) Usually an otaku person has nothing better to do with their life so they pass the time by watching anime, playing videogames, surfing the internet."

Why do I call myself that? It really was me in middle school and high school (and some parts of college). I dreaded going outside and I had no social life (unless you count my friends on the internet?). I would spend hours upon hours of watching anime, reading manga, surfing the web, do online role-playing on Myspace and so on. Note I am still like this now. There will be weeks where I don't want to go outside (but I have to at least twice a day to walk my dog), I don't contact my friends to socialize and what not. I would just stay indoors and watch a lot of anime, play video games, and surf the net. However! I usually call it my otaku mood when this happens because there will be a week or two where I am super social and I want to go outside and do stuff with my friends and family.

I have a 2 year old Shiba Inu name Kona and yes my world pretty much revolves around him (pretty sure he knows it too). I tend to talk about him way too much and I spend more time with him than my  friends and family combined .
