How to Make Money By Shopping Online

The holidays are literally around the corner and just like most people I have been trying to find any way possible to save a bit of money. I have taken advantage of some Black Friday sales along with the Cyber Monday sales too, however, there is still so much I need to get. Luckily, I found a way to earn a bit of money for online shopping.

For the past two months, I have been using Ebates and have earned $15 alone with just shopping for gifts online. There are days where the rebate is doubled, which is the best time to increase your check. You can either sign up to receive a check in the mail every month or link your PayPal account to get direct deposit. I like to link it to my PayPal and have it as my 'second' savings account.

Not sure how Ebates work? It is pretty simple. Once you create an account you can shop at the thousands of shops online listed with them. It is easier to install their button into your browser, it will automatically tell you how much you can earn on the website, so you can activate the earning then going back into their website and find the store that way. Once the rate is activated and the payment processed in check-out, they let you know how much you earned and stores it on the website until the end of the month.

If you sign up with this link [ Ebates ] you will automatically get $10 into your account!

4 Habits I Struggle Breaking

Soo.... I promised that I would post more and create more content but here I am two months later, not doing that. Better late than never, am I right? Wrong! I have so many bad habits that I struggle with breaking but I know I am not alone on this journey. 2018 is around the corner and what better way to end this year by breaking some of these bad and annoying habits. Here are my habits that I have been struggling to break since high school. Yes.. it has been a very long time.

SUGAR INTAKE
I am known to have sugary drinks. I love my coffee sweet and my juices (not soda, I am not a huge fan of soda really). Not only do I drink sugar, I love candy and chocolate! Every time I walk by the candy stand, I start drooling. If there is any sugar or candy in my apartment, I have to hide them because if it is a plain sight I would eat the entire box.

SLEEPING IN
If I do not have to be at work by 11AM or later I always sleep-in, instead of taking the advantage of being productive in the morning. This also means that I never eat breakfast and sometimes not even lunch. This gets worse when I get into a bad funk. I would rather waste my time in bed than be productive and do something with my life.

OVER-EATING
This happens more when I eat out and the reasons I always try to finish my whole meal is either because I don't want to carry leftovers home or eating more because I'm bored. When I mean I'm bored, it is more like when there is food just sitting in front of me and the conversation isn't all that stimulating. I would just stuff my face until I have something to talk about or until the food is gone.

SHOP FOR THINGS I DON'T NEED
I am one of those people that idly shop when they are feeling down. I would start by window shopping but once my mood drops I just start buying things I don't necessarily need. I just buy it because for whatever reason I think it would feel the void in my negative mood. It does for like a second but then I just end up with a bunch of things I don't need in my life.

If anyone else struggles with these habits let me know in the comments. We can support each other int he journey of breaking them and forming better habits together!

Under Construction

Photographer - Tim Gouw
After almost a full year of attempting to try to be a blogger. Here I am on my third try.
I am currently working on rebranding my blog. This time I swear I will be a consistent content creator and will write about topics I care about. Quirky Jenn was supposed to be a lifestyle blog with a hint of beauty but now it will simply be my personal blog. There will be topics that will range from racial experiences, motivational stories, beauty, and possible food recipes.

I am also trying to start an online shop with my sister. We will have our designs on apparel such as tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, tanks, long sleeves, and totes. Slowly we will branch out into other things, such as accessories.

Many new things coming this winter!
